ABC's

Wow - you sang your ABC's all the way through today!  You are such a smart little nut.  A couple days ago you were sitting in your high chair and started to sing them, then stopped half way through.  I asked you to sing them again, and your reply was, "I don't want to, Mommy!"  Well, OK.  Then tonight you started singing them in the bath and got ALL THE WAY TO THE END!  You amaze me, little girl.  Oh, and you know almost all of "The Night Before Christmas" by heart....not to mention a few other books.  I think you'll actually be reading soon.  You're such a little person now, with so much personality in that tiny body - I love you SO much!

My dearest Kael,

I've been so incredibly lame about keeping track of all of your milestones and the answer finally came to me - A BLOG JUST FOR YOU!  Someday you're going to be asking me the inevitable questions about your early childhood, and now I'll have some of it written down for you.  The joys, frustrations, good days and bad - I'm going to write down as much as I can so you'll have a bit of a window to see into the days that someday, you won't have much memory of.

I love you, my sweet girl...you're the sunshine of each day.
